Gelding Limbo Star looks the goods for Allora Cup

RACING for the 2018/19 season officially begins at Allman Park on Saturday with the running of the Allora Cup.

The five-race card has attracted decent acceptances for the timing, which will hopefully pick up on Warwick Cup day next month.

If you're having a flutter, Limbo Star looks the goods to take out the Allora Cup on the back of a nice run at Toowoomba last start.

While he has to overcome barrier seven, the 4kg claim for Brooke Mackie gets the gelding in at a nice weight.

In between races at Warwick, all eyes will be on Randwick and Flemington with group one racing at both major tracks.

While Winx looks to have her rivals covered, the Makybe Diva Stakes looks a much more open affair.

Happy Clapper will relish the step up to the mile, Kings Will Dream was incredible first-up and Humidor could well go to another level this preparation.

That's without mentioning the likes of Kementari and Comin' Through. What a race it is shaping up to be.

PETER SCHMIDT (SDSP) - HAPPY CLAPPER (FLEMINGTON RACE 7 No 1)

A quality horse. The Clapper is a gun at the mile and second up. Beat Comin' Through by two lengths giving him 5.5kg in the Doncaster.

If he gets any luck from the barrier, he'll be right in the finish.

NICK INMON (BUSHKIDS) - SWEET ROCKETTE (FLEMINGTON RACE 2 NO 6)

Michelle Paynes' first winner as a trainer and is going great guns.

Beat Multajar last start and the drop in distance won't hurt her.
