Get in touch for a footy game at Warwick touch

TOUCH: Want to play touch? Then head to the touch fields on Jackie Howe Dr from 6.30pm next Wednesday.

Last season, more than 400 players took part in Warwick Touch Association fixtures and club president Justin Nolan is happy to welcome even more.

"We are happy to expand the sport and team and individual nominations are welcome,” he said.

"Touch is a sport where husbands and wives and children can all play together. Players can join the association from around the age of 11.

"We have five grades which caters for all standards and abilities.”

The association is organising a referee's night on July 26 where each team will be required to be represented.

Each team is required to have a player referee a game at least once a fortnight.

Games are played each Wednesday night in school terms.

While State of Origin is over for 2017, the only exceptions to Wednesday night footy in school terms are the three State of Origin nights each year.

Two seasons are played each year.

The first season finals were in June and the finals for the second season will be on dates to be confirmed in late November and early December.

The coming season will start on August 2 with games played on the touch fields, junior league fields, Cowboys rugby league and rugby union fields.

All are welcome to the sign-on.

For more information email warwicktouchfooty@ hotmail.com. Players unable to attend can call Justin Nolan on 0401323076.
