Get tickets for presentation of Rodeo Queens
THE new Miss Rodeo Australia will be crowned on January 20 and Southern Downs residents have the chance to be part of the gala event.
All entrants will be in town from Thursday and will be doing a tour of the town with the town crier on Friday morning before a visit to Akooramak and The Oaks.
They will be accompanied on their promotional commitments by 2017 Miss Rodeo Australia Emma Deicke who hails from Proserpine and is in town to be part of the crowning of the 2018 winner.
There will be two functions, a Canapes and Cowgirls night on Friday at the Australian Rodeo Heritage Centre from 6pm with tickets $15 adults, $10 children.
The 2016 Warwick Rodeo Queen Ashleigh Grant will be one of six entrants who will be judged on horse riding ability on Saturday morning at Warwick Showgrounds. There will also be a gold buckle barrel race.
There are six Miss Rodeo Australia entrants. They come from all over Australia and include a second Darling Downs representative, Millmerran Rodeo Queen Nicole Evans.
The new Miss Rodeo Australia will be named at a gala function from 6pm Saturday, January 20, at Douglas Feez Pavilion. Cost is $40 adults, $20 children, for a three-course meal.
