THE big bikes from the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland will be in Warwick this weekend for round 4 of the Southern Downs Road Race Series.

Club vice-president Simon Dickson said he expected 110 riders would make the journey to Warwick.

"We will have riders from as far as Coffs Harbour and Mackay,” he said.

"I expect some of the riders will better 200kmh.

"The largest grids are in the production and Formula 3 classes.

"Eleven sidecars will compete.”

The sidecars and Formula 3 riders will be aiming to secure points towards state championships.

Riders competing this weekend will be on bikes ranging from 125cc GP bikes to 1200cc super bikes.

This weekend's racing will be the second last for the year at Morgan Park Raceway for the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland.

Qualifying will start at 9am tomorrow, with racing after lunch.

Racing will take place from 9am to 3pm Sunday.

Admission is free and patrons are welcome to have a look at the bikes and talk to the riders.

This weekend is the third in succession for Morgan Park, after the CAMS state championship round and last weekend's super sprints.
