Naked maid service promises to spice up domestic drudgery
CLEANING is one of life's more mundane household chores, so Tracey Wright and Clint Clarke decided it needed a shake-up.
The pair is starting a new business in the Rockhampton and Gladstone areas called The Naked Maid, which will provide your usual run of the mill cleaners, or for an additional cost you can hire cleaners of the more scantily clad variety.
They will provide both male and female cleaners in various states of undress, tailored to the client's request, as well as naked waitresses and butlers.
But Ms Wright stresses the service isn't sexual, and they have a strict policy prohibiting touching and sexual comments towards their staff.
"It's cleaning with a quirk," she said.
"We're really thinking outside of the box, the big thing is it's completely non-sexual, that's something we want to emphasise.
"We have a few different safety measures - we take the credit card details of the client and the girl must view photographic ID before entering the premises. We also have discreet security if we decide we need it.
"Hypothetically if a client was starting to say sexual comment the cleaner would put down tools immediately... There's no contact whatsoever... as far as I'm concerned if they were to touch them there would be assault charges."
They are recruiting staff and Ms Wright said they already had had a great response from both men and women - from people working as cleaners and wanting to shake things up to a woman already working as a naked cleaner.
"We are looking for classy-looking people who are confident in themselves and know how to hold themselves," she said.
"We are offering fully clothed cleaning services if you want someone to do heavy scrub like if you want your oven cleaned.
"(Naked maids will) clean the kitchen, do the vacuuming, a light bathroom clean-over, do the washing, light gardening services in private gardens."
She said there had been some negative comments on Facebook.
"The ad had been placed on Facebook and there had just been some negative comments, but that has to be expected," Ms Wright said.
