GHSS rules the pool

RIPPLES tore through the pool at the Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre yesterday as a large group of excited primary school students took part in their swimming carnival.

While students at fellow primary schools were inside the classroom reading books in their final week of school for the year, students at Glennie Heights State School put their best swimming legs forward at the annual school meet.

School principal Sandra Wright, who took on the role at the beginning of this year, watched the students with pride as they finished their races.

This was the first and last swimming meet for Ms Wright, who will move on to Stanthorpe next year to take on the role of principal at Stanthorpe State Primary School.
