Girls set to make debut

AT the 64th annual Caledonian Debutante Ball, 27 young women and their partners will take to the dance floor for a night of fun.

When: Saturday 8pm-12.30am.

Where: St Mary's Hall, Wood St.

Cost: Adults $35, high school students $20 and primary school/pensioners $15.

Down and dirty

MORE than 100 riders are expected at the Warwick District Dirt Bike Club Day at Morgan Park on Sunday.

Riders will come from as far away as the Gold Coast.

When: Sunday.

Where: Morgan Park, turn left inside gate.

Cost: Free to watch.

 

Watch Wolves

WARWICK Wolves return to home base for two games in Football Toowoomba fixtures on Sunday. The reserves game will be on first at Queens Park.

When: Sunday from 12.30pm.

Where: Queens Park.

Cost: Free.

 

Sing up a storm

TALENTED country musicians are back for an afternoon of easy listening and socialising.

There will be performances by various artists and afternoon tea is included.

When: Sunday, 1.30-5pm.

Where: Killarney Senior Citizens' Hall.

Cost: $5.

 

100 shooters here

ABOUT 100 shooters will converge on Warwick this weekend for the biggest rifle-shooting event of the year at Risdon Range.

Shooters will come from as far away as Tamworth, Bundaberg and St George.

When: Tomorrow, 9am, and Sunday, 8.30am.

Where: Risdon Range.

Cost: Free to watch.

 

Cutters at home

THE Killarney Cutters will host Inglewood in the Border Rugby League tomorrow.

The teams will play for the Bob Garred Shield.

When: Tomorrow.

Where: Charlie Andrews Oval.

Cost: $4 adults, children free.

 

Back to 1960s

THE swinging '60s are back, with a catch-up and fundraising night hosted by Collegians Junior Rugby League Club.

Proceeds from the bar will aid Brendan McIvor and his family.

When: Tonight, 6.30-10.30pm.

Where: Cowboys Clubhouse.

Cost: $35/head.

 

Rats at home

HEAD to Risdon Oval to watch the Water Rats take on Chinchilla at 2pm tomorrow.

The C-grade team has been training hard and is ready to win another home game, following its win against Toowoomba Bears 31-0 a couple of weeks ago.

When: 3pm Tomorrow.

Where: Risdon Oval.

 

Red Shield Appeal

SALVATION Army volunteers will toil around the region this weekend for the annual Red Shield Doorknock Appeal.

If you see them, don't forget to spare a few coins for charity.

When: Tomorrow and Sunday.

Where: They'll come to you, or track them down in the streets.

Cost: Whatever you can afford.

KILLARNEY Campdraft is on this weekend, so

why not head down to catch a glimpse of the action?

The campdraft is on both days and families can easily take a drive and make a day of it.
