Girls win ribbons for show jumping

THREE students from Assumption College competed at the Scots PGC College Extravaganza Interschool Qualifier.

Abby Grayson competed in the 70cm class, placing first in the AM5, second in the A2, second in the power and speed and winning champion overall. Kara Brown competed in the 80cm class and receivied a second in the AM5, fourth in the A2, third in the power and speed and reserve champion overall.

Mikaela Brown competed in 90cm competition and finished seventh in the A2.

The next competition for the girls was held yesterday at Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Centre, hosted by Stuartholme College.

Both of these competitions are qualifiers for the Interschool Equestrian State Championships held at Maryborough in the June/July holidays.
