
Coast cops punched after wild party
TWO police officers were allegedly punched overnight in a party that spiralled out of control at Upper Coomera.
The two officers were responding to a noise complaint at Meadow Way around 1.15am where a large party was being held.
When officers told the guests to move on, they were allegedly surrounded and assaulted.
It is understood the officers were punched.
Six teenagers were arrested and four have been charged. A fifth teenager is expected to be charged while the sixth teen has since been released.
Paramedics attended the scene and assessed two people.
No transportation was required.
Meanwhile a woman is in a serious, but stable condition after being stabbed multiple times in Southport.
The incident happened at a private residence on High St around 11.30pm where the woman was allegedly stabbed with a knife by a male.
She sustained wounds to her abdomen and leg.
Paramedics transported her to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
