Golf coaching for ladies free but get in early

GOLF: The first 25 ladies who register for the Warwick Ladies Let's Golf level 1 coaching clinics will receive four free group lessons with professional Sam Eaves.

The program has been funded through a Get Out Get Active Government Grant to the Warwick Golf Club.

There are free one-hour introductory sessions at 9am on February 2 and 5pm on February 3 as a forerunner to the four-week course.

There is no need for prospective players to attend the information sessions before registering for the four-week program.

Each of the one-hour group clinics for four weeks includes coaching, golf balls, golf clubs and refreshments.

The first 25 ladies who register for the four-week program on www.golf queensland.org.au/women will receive the coaching free of charge. The regular charge for a four-week group program is $99 per person.

Ladies who register for the group level 1 sessions can choose from five time slots.

Clinics are each Tuesday from February 6 to February 27 at 9am and 10.30am, each Friday from February 9 to March 2 at 4.30pm and each Saturday from February 10 to March 3 at 9am and 10.30am.

While players can choose whatever clinic sessions suits, the Warwick Golf Club is promoting the 10.30am session each Saturday for girls 16-18 years.

Clinic instructor Sam Eaves was one of only two club professionals in Australia to qualify for last year's Australian PGA Championships at the Gold Coast. Information from the pro shop on 46613664.
