Golf day to help hospital

EVERYONE can enjoy the upcoming Big W DC golf day, even those who aren't good at golf, says Big W DC shift manager Molly Seibel.

"I'm not a good golfer anymore," she said.

"I haven't played in a year, but I'm competing."

The company has been running the day, which proudly benefits the Royal Children's Hospital, for nearly eight years with the help of dedicated staff members, such as associate/ event co-ordinator Janine Newley.

"Many of my associates at Big W volunteer," Mrs Seibel said.

"Without them, the event wouldn't happen."

Even those who are not competing can enjoy the day, with a barbecue and other activities, including the putting competition.

"It will be heaps of fun," Mrs Seibel said.

"You can even just sit out on the deck and enjoy the view."

There will also be multiple prizes on offer. The major winners of the prize categories, which include Best Ladies Team, Best Big W Team and Longest Drive, will receive coolbars, which are ice coolers with built-in cocktail tables.

The winner of the day's raffle will win a huge prize pack, including a barbecue, a bike and a television.

There will also be a 'lucky envelope' raffle , in which everyone receives a prize.

Head down to the Warwick Golf Club this Saturday morning.
