Golfers tee off, raise $3000 for aged care
MORE than $3000 was raised at the annual Akooramak Golf Day at the Warwick Golf Club.
The day attracted 99 players for a four-ball ambrose.
Warwick Golf Club member Don Stewart said it was impressive the way Akooramak management committee president Doug Cutmore, CEO Darryl Chapman, Thea Francis, other staff members and supporters helped out.
"The Akooramak day is always well supported, Thea does a great job organising suitable prizes and sponsorship," Stewart said.
"There were a few spots of rain around lunchtime but overall it was a perfect day for a game of golf."
