Goltz rides one winner in memorial race meeting

RACING: Experienced jockey Ron Goltz rode one winner at the Warwick Turf Club Memorial Race Meeting at Allman Park on Saturday.

The five races on the card were in memory of jockey Trevor Locke, trainers Ted Weier and Mick Rawlins and racing enthusiasts Peter Watt and Hector Hockings.

Goltz has just returned from an extended injury break and rode Sheza Good Girl to a win in the last.

A heavy shower in the late afternoon which brought 5mm rain to parts of Warwick did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm at Allman Park.

The track was rated as a good 3 at the start of the meeting.
