You can now renew your drivers' licence online

GOOD news for time-poor Queenslanders who need to renew their drivers' licences but don't want the hassle of the queue at the transport services authority.

You can now do it online, provided you have a valid licence of course, as part of the Queensland Government's push to use the advantages of this technological era.

"The days of queuing at the Transport Department to renew your licence are over, if you want them to be," said IT and Innovation Minister Ian Walker.

"This service is available wherever you live, but will be particularly handy for drivers in the bush who may live miles away from where they can renew their licences."
