Goomburra rider in the ladies final in Warwick

CAMPDRAFTING: Ladies with scores of 84 and above have made the final of the Vanderfield Hino Ladies Silver Cup at the Warwick Rodeo.

The final group will include Goomburra campdrafter Kim Daley who scored 85 on Kamaru Barrister, owned by Errol and Clare Cooper, of Bony Mountain.

There will be 41 in tomorrow afternoon's final at the Warwick Showgrounds.

Both leaders, Sarah Cookson and Kerry Turner, have a second horse in the final.

One rider to watch in the final will be Goondiwindi horsewoman Chris Hall who scored 86 on Hazelwood Bits and Pieces. She is a past major draft winner at the Warwick Rodeo.

The final campdrafting today was round 1 of the National Rider Challenge, a competition between teams from different campdraft associations.

There are two judges for the challenge so some riders have an average score with a half point.

After round 1, Walcha rider Ben McNaughton is the leader on The Ranch Tiptoe on 89.

LADIES LEADERS: Kerry Turner on Hingus 90, Sarah Cookson on Paradise 90, Nikki Marshall on Classy 49ER 90, Vicki Hiscock on Steph 89, Jane Willoughby on Heatwave 89, Susan Salmond on Lestree Le Docteur 89.
