Gorge group gets funding for art

CAMBANOORA Gorge Management Group (CGMG) has been awarded a Regional Arts Development Grant.

The grant will provide funding for three Aboriginal artists to paint the 14 animals, endangered, vulnerable, threatened and indicator species in the Gorge.

The artists will show their work in an exhibition and benefit from sale of them.

CGMG will retain copies of the paintings (scans, photos) to use as educational material in future.

Kim Rush, Kaleb Hardy and Gloria Williams are Githabul women and have started their paintings.
