Granite Belt wines now on the menu at Gardens Galore
WALKING into Gardens Galore, you're already spoilt for choice.
Aromatic coffee, gourmet food, boutique fashion and homewares, plants to rival the botanic gardens and now wine.
Yes, the heady bottled nectar will soon be on the menu at Sue Hoffman's house of everything gorgeous and as the gooseberry enthusiasts begin to rejoice, so too are the business heads behind it.
Mrs Hoffman will sell Golden Grove Estate wines in 16 different varieties, so there will be no shortage of choice when it comes to selecting the perfect wine to complement your meal.
Mrs Hoffman said she loved the idea of selling local Granite Belt wine and knew it would mean only good things for the Warwick community and beyond.
"It's like the things you'd see in the Hunter Valley - fresh, great food and there is nothing like a glass of nice wine to go with it," she said.
Customers will be able to order the takeaway wines or sit in and enjoy a glass or bottle at the restaurant.
Mrs Hoffman said adding the Satellite Cellar Door, which was a licence to sell only Golden Grove's wines and not other alcoholic beverages, was a step in the right direction for her business.
"It makes it more unique and we are working towards different things," Mrs Hoffman said.
"I just think it's lovely to be using our own local resources."
She said it would further the elegant atmosphere already within the walls of Gardens Galore.
"The atmosphere between everything we've got here and the great food and now some real quality wine to go with it is just going to be fantastic," Mrs Hoffman said.
Owner of Golden Grove Estate Sam Costanzo said he was thrilled Gardens Galore was eager to come on board and saw this as another outlet to get their winery's product out into the market.
"We've wanted to get into Warwick for a long time, but it's a very hard area to get into," Mr Costanzo said.
"There is a bit of resistance. Some places have said most people in Warwick don't like to pay very much for wine, but this is different personnel and (Gardens Galore) was quite happy to give Golden Grove a go.
"So it's another outlet for us and good for our exposure."
Gardens Galore is just waiting on the final tick of approval before they bring out the wine glasses.
Mr Costanzo hoped to see the bottles moving after Easter, but could not confirm an exact date.
"It's taken every bit of nine months to get here, but we will be having a grand opening when we do start pouring," he said.
