Grass fire engulfs 15 acres

A WARWICK fire crew spotted smoke while out and about this morning and discovered a grass fire engulfing 15 acres of land.

A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said the crew reported the blaze at 10am, which was occurring at Frees Rd, Womina.

Two rural crews were called to assist the Warwick crew in fighting the fire.

The blaze was brought under control at 10.27am.
