Green thumbs wanted for annual competition

NOW is the time to dust off the gardening gloves and start preparing for October's Spring Garden Competition.

The annual event is back again this year and judge Barry Murphy said this year's focus was on attracting gardeners from all across the region.

Mr Murphy said he was expecting to see beautiful shrubbery from the Stanthorpe area and said roses were always a sure thing in the Rose City in spring.

"There are a lot of nice gardens around and there are a lot of things that will grow, if people plan accordingly," he said.

For more information on how to enter the competition, phone Barry on 4681 1942 or Margot on 4661 1414.

Entries must be received by October 4.
