Groovy grannies prepare for fundraising garage
CHAMPION group, the Groovy Grannies, will be hosting a garage sale tomorrow morning as part of the of the Cancer Council's Relay for Life.
The group has built a reputation in the Warwick community for its fundraising efforts over the past three years.
Organiser Lynn Lane has her team of 15 local ladies together to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council.
All members of the group have been affected by cancer in some way and hope to give back to those struck by cancer in the community.
The Brekkie on the Run Garage Sale will start at 7am tomorrow at 176 Glen Rd, Warwick.
The garage sale will be accompanied by local country music group the Wuppies, who will be fresh from their performances in the Jumpers and Jazz festival.
The musicians will be accompanied by plenty of bargains and a range of tea and coffee assortments on the day.
Locals are encouraged to donate any unwanted items to be sold at the sale with the funds raised going to Relay for Life.
The grannies will be back in action on August 22 for a high tea at Just Because.
