MEMBERS of the Warwick Suicide Prevention Group are better prepared to help the community after a suicide intervention skills training session last week.

Warwick Suicide Prevention Group member Johno Felton said it was an informative session.

"We have learnt skills on how to help someone with thoughts of suicide," he said.

"A lot of the people at the meeting had personal experiences with suicide.

"The skills will come in handy when we are handing out flyers and doing displays around the town.

"We can feel confident that if someone has a problem we can assist them."

Mr Felton said the main aim was to help other members in the community.
