Men's shed supports drought relief with garage sale

WARWICK Men's Shed will have a monster garage sale on July 19 at its shed on the corner of Glen Rd and Tooth St, Warwick.

The garage sale from 7am to 1pm will include donated items and some items made at the shed.

Secretary Ian Stevens said more donations of goods would be gratefully accepted.

The group had a recent sausage sizzle at Spano's Supa IGA Warwick that raised $800 for Aussie Helpers, which is a fund to assist in drought relief.

Warwick Men's Shed is a men's group whose members support each other at get-togethers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am to noon.

The group has two sausage sizzles each year, to raise funds for charity, at Bunnings and Spano's Supa IGA Warwick.

The shed operates on premises owned by Southern Downs Regional Council and was first used as a workshop by the former Rosenthal Shire Council.
