Warwick gymnasts ready for state challenge

GYMNASTICS: Two Warwick gymnasts will head to the Sleeman Sports Centre in Brisbane this weekend to compete in the junior state championships.

Ella Murphy and Amber Hentschel have been training under coaches Lyndsay and Greg Ryan to prepare them for the highly competitive event.

Amber is a level 5 gymnast and this will be her second time competing at the state championships.

This will be the first time Ella has competed at the state level as a level 4 gymnast.

Both girls have been training very hard for the competition and said they are looking forward to the experience of competing at such a high level.

Ella will be competing in the level 4 open competition from 5pm tonight with presentations to be held at 7.30pm.

Amber will have to wait until Sunday when she will compete in the level 5 under 13 and open class from 2.30pm. The Warwick Gymnastic Club will hold a club invitational on October 31 and November 1 for WAG Levels 1-7 and MAG Levels 1-4.

Nominations are currently open until October 15.
