Allora's Happy Hippies hit the road for Endeavour

ALLORA Happy Hippies headed off for the start of the 2015 Great Endeavour Rally and Cruise last Friday in their purple HQ Holden.

Bev O'Halloran, Kaye Wilson and Debbie Meddleton headed to Redcliffe for registration, scrutineering and the event welcome dinner before the start on Saturday.

The next stop was Bell showgrounds, before a big Sunday that took them to "meat ant country" camping at Augathella.

A cool morning greeted our hippies as they launched in to another long stretch to Clermont and a night of fun and frivolity with locals who hosted a Wild West show.

The Flower Power HQ sauntered in to Airlie Beach via Collinsville and Bowen on Tuesday, after covering just 550km for the day, amid plenty of rough roads and bull dust.

The trio relaxed somewhat with two nights at Airlie Beach.Bev, Kaye and Debbie will head to Middlemount and then Stanage Bay as they wind their way to the finish and farewell/ presentation dinner in Rockhampton tomorrow.

Bev, Kaye and Debbie are grateful to their sponsors who provided sterling support, especially Haidley's Panoramic Coaches, Whites Garage Allora, Bellbowrie Mechanical, Wattles Junior Rugby League Club, Griffin Towing Service, MV Bookkeeping, Shaun Henry Plumbing, Albion St Autos, Max Butt, The Blue Cow Hotel Allora, La Rocca Marble and Granite, Daryll Bowe Plumbing, Glenmar Fuels, Allora Pharmacy, Earle and Helen Eaton and Greenmount Travel.

A big thank you to Allora and District Tyre Service and Kumho Tyres for donating and fitting tyres and to major sponsor Robyn Miles at the Railway Hotel.
