Hard hitting Pat is a star Under 10 player

PAT Gordon has hit the highest score of the Warwick under-10 cricket season, with four games to go in his final season in the age group.

He scored 72 off 20 balls at Glennie Heights State School on Saturday.

U10 co-ordinator Paul Swift said Pat set the scene with sixes off the first two balls he faced for the Big W Bashers.

"He hit 68 of his runs in boundaries and had to retire after 20 balls, the maximum for each player in under-10 cricket," Swift said.

Pat hit eight sixes, five fours, one two and two singles but, his team went down to Red Rooster Rockets.

Pat is in his second U10 season and will go up to the U12 grade next season.

Four U10 teams play at Glennie Heights State School each Saturday. Prospective new players are welcomed for the final month, from 8am, at Glennie Heights or for more information, phone Paul Swift on 0418 732739.
