Harlequins goalie shows the way for the team in black and white
HOCKEY: The brilliant work of goalie Rosie Corney paved the way for Harlequins to beat Corinthians/Wyverns 4-3 in ladies hockey at the weekend.
It was the first time in goal for Corney.
Kate Jordan scored three goals for the winners and Deb Rhodes one
Jordan was one of three players with trebles on Saturday. Gary Millard scored three goals for Wyverns in a 7-3 men’s win against a Corinthians side which had one scorer, Jesse Ollerton who netted all three.
In midweek mixed hockey action, Rhys Branson scored three goals for Scots 1.
Millard scored a goal in reserve grade to give him four for the week.
