Have some fun after Pentath

FOLLOWING on from yesterday's column on the Voyage Fitness 1500m, race 5, we now come to the best part for all your runners, supporters, organisers and readers.

The Daily News Pentath-run is complete and it's time to celebrate.

TIME TO THINK ABOUT 1500m RACE

What better way to do that than with presentations to the winners. As you may know, there are winners of each race, age category and winners of all five races. The awards this year are worth your efforts.

As always, our committed volunteers from the Warwick branch of Cancer Council Queensland will have a barbecue, physios and ambulance crew will be in attendance, along with the important Zarraffa's mobile coffee van.

This weekend we aim to welcome along Mister Painter's face painting of the WDN Pentath logo (Gold coin donation), and finally our merchandise stall.

Committee member Julie Leggatt is organising a chocolate wishing well where children throw coins to win a chocolate, proceeds to charity.

Finally, this year, we have received some really great prizes so, instead of a raffle, we would like to randomly thank our runners a bit more and will draw winners from the runners' bib numbers on the final day.

Again, all are welcome - walk/jog/support - this could be the get up and go that you've been looking for, sign up and never look back. Good luck at the weekend and be safe.
