'He admitted to consuming a number of beers and Jack Daniels'

AN ALLEGED early morning burnout has seen a Stanthorpe man slapped with a number of charges at the weekend.

Police will allege they witnessed the 24-year-old man doing a burnout in McGlew St at 2.00am on Sunday and subsequently charged the man with drink-driving after providing a reading of .059% as well as allegedly driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

Police say the man admitted to attending a Christmas party earlier in the evening and consuming a number of beers and cans of Jack Daniels.
