Head-on crash near Killarney injures holidaymakers

A GROUP of holiday motorists have walked away with minor injuries after a head-on crash on the Mt Lindesay Hwy.

The crash between a car towing a caravan and another car occurred on the stretch of road 15km from Killarney at 12.30pm yesterday.

A woman and two men were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Killarney police conducted traffic control on the scene while the wreckage was cleared.

Investigations are ongoing.

Quiet Christmas for police crews

POLICE across the Southern Downs have reported a relatively incident-free Christmas and Boxing Day period.

Officers from a number of stations including Warwick, Stanthorpe and Goondiwindi said it had been a quiet weekend in the region.

A Stanthorpe police spokesman said it had been a very good Christmas.
