Heartbreak for Brumbies as Sharks score after siren

A TRY to Sharks midfielder Lukhanyo Am after the fulltime siren has given the Durban-based side a dramatic 27-22 win over the ACT Brumbies in Canberra.

At 22-all, the Brumbies had the chance to win the match at the death, but an error in the opposition half gave the Sharks an opportunity to counter and the South African side made the home side pay for their mistake.

The Brumbies led 15-10 at halftime, but ill-discipline either side of the break let the visitors back into the match.

Sharks skipper Patrick Lambie landed five penalties and finished with 17 points from the kicking tee.

Earlier, Henry Speight got the home side off to the perfect start scoring in the second minute.

Lambie put the Sharks on the scoreboard 10 minutes later, but a try to hooker Josh Mann-Rea extended the Brumbies' lead.
