Heat makes it two from two in Adelaide
UPDATED: 4.15pm: CRICKET: The Brisbane Heat have only lost three wickets in scoring two wins against the Adelaide Strikers in WBBL games in the past three days in Adelaide.
Batting first for the second time in three days, Adelaide made 7-119 off 20 overs with Warwick all rounder Delissa Kimmince conceding 11 runs in her one over.
The Heat won with 2-122 with Beth Mooney unbeaten on 81, her second unbeaten 80 plus during the trip to Adelaide. For the second time in two games, Kimmince was next in when the winning runs were scored.
With three wins from six games and a form explosion by Mooney, the Heat are now right in the mix for the finals with eight games to go.
NOON: The Brisbane Heat can make it three wins from their first six WBBL games with a victory against the Adelaide Strikers this afternoon at the Adelaide Oval.
On Friday, Beth Mooney hit an unbeaten 86 as the Heat scored 1-116 to beat the Strikers.
Warwick player Delissa Kimmince was padded up to bat at No.4 but wasn't needed.
Earlier she had 0-24 off four overs bowling first change as Adelaide made 6-113 off their 20 overs.
The win on Friday boosted the win/loss record to two wins from five games for the Heat.
Kimmince said earlier in the week that the Heat had to win at least seven, if not more, of their 14 round games to play finals cricket.
In men's cricket, Warwick paceman Mark Steketee will play for the Heat men on Sunday night against the Strikers.
