Heat on the Heat women with four games to go
IT is all hotting up in the Big Bash League with the Brisbane Heat women's teams in a close battle for a top-four spot.
Late last week, the Heat women played the Sixers in Mackay and came away with a win and loss.
Warwick all rounder Delissa Kimmince hit 16 runs in the Heat win and was out for a duck in the loss.
Her best bowling in Mackay was 0-12 off three overs in a winning Stars score of 4-94.
In the WBBL, the Heat is currently third with six wins and four losses but the Sixers and Renegades are close behind with five wins and four losses. Each team has 14 round games which will determine the top four.
The Heat women now head to Sydney to play a game at the SCG on Thursday against the Sixers. The same two teams will meet on Friday at Hurstville Oval.
Football kicks off
THE Warwick Wolves football season is on again with training at Queens Park at 6.30pm each Tuesday and Thursday.
The club will have a meet and greet this Saturday at Queens Park from 3.30pm.
Warwick will field two open men's teams, one women's team and a 16/17 years boys team this season in Toowoomba.
The 16/17 years competition replaces colts so some players who would have been in colts this season will now graduate to seniors. All welcome at training.
