Here comes Professional Bull Riders event in Warwick
RODEO: Two of the form bull riders in the nation will do battle in the PBR Rural Weekly Live Series Bull Ride at Collegians Junior Rugby League Ground in Warwick on December 5.
The event - the third in the 2015 series - will be brought to the fans by Rural Weekly and the Warwick Daily News.
Troy Wilkinson, who hails from Upper Horton in New South Wales, was the only rider to make time on three bulls in winning the Warwick Rodeo Australian Championships in the APRA at the Warwick Showgrounds late last week while up in Rockhampton, Beaudesert cowboy Fraser Babbington went home $12,000 richer after taking out the Live Series title and Rockhampton PBR title in the first round of the 2015 series at Browne Park at the weekend.
Both Wilkinson and Babbington have won events in Warwick and are accustomed to win titles at the same venue.
While Wilkinson has won two of the past three open bull rides at the Warwick Rodeo, Babbington is a back-to-back PBR winner in Rockhampton.
Last week in Warwick, Wilkinson said he was happy with his form.
"Everything went right," he said.
As for Babbington, he said he had his eye on the prize.
"I feel pretty awesome now that it's over and I have the big money and big buckles in my hand," he said after his Rockhampton win.
"I like the bulls up here and I seem to do well up in this part of the country."
The professional bull rider is off to the Reef and Beef event in Airlie Beach this weekend. (Additional reporting Morning Bulletin)
