High hopes for a winning year
BONITA Tyler is playing her third season in Warwick and Toowoomba hockey and is only two wins away from a premiership victory.
Tyler was a shadow for Queensland in primary school hockey and played for Collegians and Swifts in Ipswich before moving to Warwick.
She plays club hockey each Saturday in Warwick and for Past High in Toowoomba A2.
Tyler and fellow Past High player Jodie Olsen were considered too strong for A3, which prevents them from backing up with Warwick in another grade.
The pair are in a group of seven Warwick players in the Past High team which plays Norths in the preliminary final at 6.30pm tomorrow.
Toni Cox led the Past High A2 team to a President’s Cup win this season.
