Hit-and-run in Inglewood leaves cyclist dead

POLICE investigating the death of a 61-year-old male cyclist who was found deceased near Inglewood yesterday are appealing for public assistance.

Investigations indicate Martin Pearson was riding a bicycle along Inglewood-Millmerran Road when he was struck by a vehicle sometime between 2.30pm and 3.25pm yesterday.

The Lowood man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers are continuing to search for the vehicle involved which failed to remain at the scene.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen a vehicle, possibly a truck, with front end damage or a missing spotlight in the area or who believes they have any information that could assist investigators to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
