Hockey changes format as super league hits off
HOCKEY: The Warwick Hockey Super League competition has reverted to one day this year with all games on Saturday at Queens Park from 4.30pm.
The same two men's and women's teams will play in a format that puts players from each club in different teams to their usual midweek club structure. The Warwick under-18 girls players will be cooking hot food for the night so patrons can enjoy a meal.
The men shouldn't run out of fitness in the late game as 16 are backing up after playing in last weekend's over-35 years state championships. The Warwick 2 team was formed after Townsville withdrew and included some young guns as well as over-35s.
Program: 4:30pm: Junior Super League - boys and girls half field each (20 min halves, 5 min half-time); 5:25pm: Ladies game (30 min halves, 5 min half-time); 6:35pm: Junior Super league - boys and girls half field each; 7:30pm: Men's game
