Horse float bursts into flames on back road

UPDATE: Fire crews have extinguished a blaze that engulfed the back section of a horse float.

The fire began as the male driver was travelling along Goomburra Rd, before he pulled over and called emergency services.

There were no horses on the float at the time, and the driver was uninjured.

It's unknown at this point what caused the horse float to catch alight.

Police, fire crews and ambulances all responded to the fire just after 11am today.
