Hudson laps up wet course for win

A DOG called Hudson took out top dog of the day at the Warwick Lure Coursing Club field trial on Sunday at Henry Joppich Park.

The wet morning worried the handlers more than the dogs.

The top-placed dog from the Warwick area was Mister, owned by Anne Freebairn, of Goomburra, who finished fourth.

He is an imported dog from New Zealand.

The field trial was contested by 20 dogs from the Warwick and Brisbane areas.

There was one regular handler from Toowoomba who travelled to the event without her dog Jess due to the wet weather.

The next field trial will be on April 27 at the club grounds in Henry Joppich Park.

Competition at the next field trial will start at 9.30am. Registration is from 9am.
