HUGE GIG: Bubbles' giant plan to bring Kip Moore to Warwick
BUBBLES Barbierato is on a mission to see Warwick host the concert event of a lifetime this year.
In a fundraising endeavour of massive proportions, the talented photographer wants to bring international country music superstar Kip Moore to Warwick and hopefully with him, thousands of fans.
The aim of her Give So Others Can Live event is to raise as much money as possible for the Warwick Hospital, for equipment and patient comforts that may just help save a life, something Miss Barbierato feels strongly about.
In December, Miss Barbierato's grandmother fell gravely ill and needed to be airlifted to Brisbane, but passed away three weeks later.
"Unfortunately the right equipment needed to help simply wasn't available at Warwick Hospital,” she said.
"They do a wonderful job and we're so lucky to have them, but it would be great to get them some support to bring some comfort to others who have to face the heartbreak of losing a family member or provide new equipment to the hospital so they can save lives.”
Miss Barbierato is no stranger to fundraising after smashing her own expectations with her The Boot Scootin' Black Dog Charity Auction held in October last year.
"I had hoped to raise $5000 then, and we ended up bringing in $30,000,” she said.
"This time I want all the proceeds to be spent locally and I want to go really big this time.”
Miss Barbierato said she was going to take a huge risk with the event.
"I just hope that the people and businesses of Warwick proves that we can all get behind each other, show support and make big things happen,” she said.
"This event will be something that benefits the whole town and the beauty of it is that all funds raised will go back into the community.
"I'm hoping everyone will all support it in the hope that it can be a successful and ongoing event.”
Miss Barbierato said she had already been in contact with Kip Moore's people in the US.
"This will not be a cheap undertaking,” she said.
"Flights, accommodation and the biggest expense is probably the stage requirements, we're looking at maybe six figures.
"Corporate sponsors will hopefully jump all over this, but I would really like to see local businesses show their support as well.”
Warwick Hospital director of nursing Anita Bolton said it would be the first fundraiser for the hospital in many years.
"It's a fabulous idea, and there is so much that we could do with a little extra money.
"I hope everyone gets behind it.”
