Hungry Jack's to open doors

IT won’t be long until Rose City residents are snacking on onion rings and double whoppers as Hungry Jack’s is on schedule to open its doors on May 25.

Hungry Jack’s Queensland development manager Gabe Sciarretta said the builders and contractors were making the finishing touches and he expected the building to be handed over by BRB Modular by May 21.

“I am looking forward to actually opening and hopefully we will be well supported by the community,” Mr Sciarretta said.

BRB Modular Project Manager Greg Gledhill, who has led the men on site since late March, said everything was on track for the Hungry Jack’s building.

“We have just got the final fit-out inside with the drink machine and electronics, basically commissioning everything so it can work,” Mr Gledhill said. “Were all but ready to flip burgers.”

The landscaping is expected to begin next week.

The playground started last week and is almost complete with safety fencing to be put up to finish the outside dining area.

Developer Tony Caputo was on site yesterday and was excited the project was well under way and close to completion.

Along with Hungry Jack’s another building on the site is under construction, with Mr Caputo saying there was no confirmed retail tenant at this stage.
