Hunt ongoing after Warwick roadside assault
TWENTY-ONE days after a woman was allegedly knocked unconscious by a man on Rose St in Warwick, police are yet to charge anyone in relation to the alleged attack.
A spokesman from Queensland Police Media yesterday said investigations into the assault were ongoing.
Police are continuing to appeal for information from anyone who knows anything about the alleged attack or may have seen either of the vehicles involved.
The "brazen assault" occurred on Tuesday, October 2, after a 22-year-old woman stopped on Rose St due to car trouble.
It's claimed a man driving a white ute with silver tray back and sides, stopped and offered to help the woman.
He later allegedly slammed her head into the car and left her unconscious by the side of the road.
The man has been described as Caucasian, aged between 30 and 40 with a chubby build, about 175cm tall with short dark hair and a full dark beard.
The woman was driving a white 1996 Nissan Patrol station wagon, white with a bull bar and scrub bars.
Anyone with any information is urged to phone Policelink on 131444 or Warwick Police on 46604444.
