It's claimed a man driving a white ute with silver tray back and sides, stopped and offered to help the woman.

He later allegedly slammed her head into the car and left her unconscious by the side of the road.

The man has been described as Caucasian, aged between 30 and 40 with a chubby build, about 175cm tall with short dark hair and a full dark beard.

The woman was driving a white 1996 Nissan Patrol station wagon, white with a bull bar and scrub bars.
