Ice, machete, jewellery uncovered in police search

A WARWICK woman is set to face 16 charges after she was allegedly found with ice, oxycodone and a large machete at Allora.

Allora Police Senior Constable Riley Cozens said officers intercepted the woman in a vehicle on Dalrymple Creek Rd at Talgai about noon yesterday.

When police searched the woman and the vehicle, they allegedly uncovered about 1.5g of ice, a small quantity of oxycodone and Lyrica derivatives, a large machete, drug utensils, jewellery and a quantity of cash.

Sen-Constable Cozens said the woman was arrested and taken to the Warwick watch-house.

She was later charged with 16 offences including possessing dangerous drugs, tainted property and drug utensils as well as drug driving.

The 29-year-old woman was released on bail and will appear at Warwick Magistrates Court at a later date.

Sen-Constable Cozens said police were continuing to investigate the origins of items uncovered in the search.
