In thick of netball finals

ASHLEIGH Tatchell has been one of the stars during the finals series in Warwick netball.

Semi-finals were played last week, preliminary finals this week and grand finals in all three grades will be played on Monday at WIRAC.

In B-grade, Tic Tacs and Rockets were neck and neck all the way in the major semi and level at full-time.

It was only in the last 30 seconds of extra time that Rockets scored the winning goal.

Tatchell had a fantastic game in centre court for Tic Tacs.

Firechicks led the minor semi-final for the first three quarters but Panthers won the last quarter 9-4 to win by three.

Donna Carey had a fantastic shooting game for Panthers against a Firechicks side which played a great full-court game.

In C-grade, Ball Mawlers had a strong last quarter out-scoring Huff n Puff 10-3 on the way to a major semi-final victory.

After Desperadoes led 17-15 at halftime, Dodgies steamed home to win the second half 25-10 and the minor semi in C-grade.

SEMI SCORES: B-grade: 1 v 2 Rockets 29 d Tic Tacs 28 in extra time, 3 v 4 Panthers 29 d Firechicks 26.

C-grade: 1 v 2 Ball Mawlers 29 d Huff n Puff 20, 3 v 4 Dodgies 40 d Desperadoes 27.
