Inglewood is top in cricket

INGLEWOOD has secured the minor premiership in Warwick A-grade cricket in its first season in the competition.

After moving from the Goondiwindi competition at the start of the 2009-2010 season, Inglewood has played consistent cricket all season.

The Campbell brothers, Lachlan and Nick, and the Fearby brothers, Neil and Wayne, have been four of the many stars in the Inglewood side.

Going into its home game against RSL Diggers on Sunday, Inglewood had a three-point lead over Diggers and extended its competition lead to eight, with four points for a win and one bonus point.

With the last round of fixtures this weekend, Diggers can score a maximum six points so can’t make up the eight-point difference.

Inglewood plays Warwick Hotel Colts at Queen’s Park on Sunday.
