RUGBY LEAGUE: Inglewood has two Queensland rugby league representatives after the Outback Carnival in Ilfracombe.

Inglewood Roosters pair, captain-coach Brent Osborne and Brent Hearne, are two of the 14 representatives from South West Country in the state team.

Both played well for a South West Country side which beat North West 74-8 and beat Central West 40-8 in the weekend carnival. Osborne and Hearne were the only two Border players in the winning team.

A Queensland Outback squad of 18 has been named to play a game against a team from Far North Queensland as a curtain raiser to a North Queensland Cowboys game against South Sydney at Barlow Park on July 16.

There were no Border players in the Southern under-20 team which had a 40-12 win against Northern in Ilfracombe. South West Country had 12 players in the Southern team and 11 made the Queensland Outback team.

After a break from fixtures at the weekend, Border Rugby League fixtures return on Saturday with Killarney at home to Tenterfield and Stanthorpe at home to Inglewood.
