Injured man airlifted after serious motorbike crash

A MAN was airlifted to hospital last night after sustaining a serious injury to his right arm in a motorbike crash at The Falls, about 7km east of Killarney.

A spokesman from Queensland Police Services said the 47-year-old man hit a guard rail on Spring Creek Rd.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 7.58pm and a LifeFlight helicopter was later called to transport the man to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

He was in a serious but stable condition.

The QPS spokesman said the man was able to provide information to police about the crash.

Investigations indicate no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The man was the only person riding the motorbike.
