Injured Rats face Highfields

DESPITE having 13 people injured on the sidelines, Water Rats coach John O’Leary remains positive ahead of today’s clash against B-grade powerhouse Highfields.

The A-grade team will have a much-needed rest this weekend as Highfields only has B and C grades in the Darling Downs competition.

O’Leary said this would be an opportunity for new players to have a go.

“We’re struggling with injuries however the club’s tenacity has shown through and we’ll field a side,” he said.

“We are looking forward to playing one of the better B-grade sides.”
