Paralympian to address function

ONE of Australia’s most successful sportsmen will be in Warwick tomorrow as part of the Smiling for Smiddy Midi-Challenge Cycling training run for September’s gruelling 1600km journey from Brisbane to Townsville.

One of the cyclists is skier, adventurer, world and Australian record holder, Paralympic and Olympic star Michael Milton.

Milton is best known for his four gold medals at the 2002 Winter Paralympic Games which endeared him to a sport-loving nation and earned him the title of Laureus World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability.

He is an outstanding motivational speaker and will address a function at the Warwick Senior Citizens Centre tomorrow from 6.30pm to 10pm.

The evening will include a meal and entertainment.

Tickets are just $25, including a couple of beers/wines.

Raffles on the night include a signed Brisbane Broncos jersey, five double passes to the Brisbane game against the Tigers on July 2, a signed football, training shirt and cap, and seafood vouchers at the Broncos Leagues Club.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call Tracy on 4661 0305 or Sami or Marion on 4661 0356.
