International visitors targeted in Stanthorpe break-ins

STANTHORPE police are warning people to keep their homes and cars locked after a spate of thefts in the past week.

International visitors were among those targeted by thieves in the past week.

A home on Wolfram St and another on Sugarloaf Rd were broken into after being left unsecured by residents.

Thieves easily gained access and stole laptops and other equipment.

Police say if the homes had been secure, the break-in would not have occurred.

A third break-in was also committed in the Sugarloaf area, with offenders breaking into a locked car on a property and stealing tools and equipment.
