It is time for another local derby in representative cricket
CRICKET: The Fern brothers, James and Thomas, will play together in Davis Shield for the first time om Sunday at CFWhite Oval, at Stanthorpe.
Thomas, a leg spinner, will make his cup debut on Sunday.
His twin, a paceman, played earlier in the season.
The pair will be joined by three Morris brothers -Nick, Joe and Tom - from Allora.
Allora paceman Blake Lollback, who took five wickets in the reserve-grade grand final last season, will boost the side's pace attack.
Lollback was named in the Warwick side to play Toowoomba, which was washed out, so this game will be his representative debut also.
Captain Dave Walker said his team would be keen to retain the Bourke-Hendry Trophy for another season.
Warwick is assured of a spot in the Davis Shield final after a win against Lockyer and washout against Toowoomba.
Warwick comp
For the first time this season, all Condamine Cup club games will be on turf.
The Mayhew Oval was re-laid last year by the Warwick Cricket Association and will be used for the second time today.
Last year's A-grade grand finalists Redbacks are in sixth spot on the points table but can move to fourth, even third, with a win against Warwick Hotel Colts on the Queens Park turf.
Finishing in the top four is the aim of every team as the top four play off for the A-grade premiership and the other three teams contest the reserve-grade premiership.
The two grand finals are scheduled for March 16, with March 23 the reserve day in the event of rain.
